4th Annual 17th Street Festival Date Announced
Festival to take place Saturday September 14th from 12-6PM
Washington, DC, July 12, 2013 – The 4th Annual 17th Street Festival, a community-building event celebrating the shops, schools, restaurants, clubs, parks, art and folks of the 17th Street corridor, is set to take place on Saturday, September 14th, 2013 from 12:00PM-6:00PM. seeking local artists and vendors for this year’s Festival.
“Last year’s Festival was amazingly successful,” said Festival Co-Chair Stephen Rutgers. “We are excited to continue the annual event and continue exposure to the 17th Street corridor.
Any local artist, particularly from the Dupont neighborhood, wishing to participate in this year’s Festival should fill out the Artist Application at www.17thstreetfestival.org by August 31st. A limited number of slots will be available to artists, and applying artists will be juried to ensure the broadest range of artwork from the broadest network of artists is on display. Priority will be given to artists residing in and in proximity to Dupont Circle. Artists will be able to sell their artwork during the show.
Businesses and organizations wishing to participate in this year’s Festival are also encouraged to fill out the Vendor Application at www.17thstreetfestival.org by August 31st. To ensure that the 17th Street Festival remains a locally-focused event benefitting residents in proximity to 17th Street, the Festival reserves the right to deny applications for vendors that would compete with existing businesses in the 17th Street business corridor. Vendors can apply to participate in the Kids Zone, Pet Zone or General Vendor Area.
The cost for a tent is $115, a table and 2 chairs is $15. Additional chairs can be reserved at $2 each.
